Blue Tea Box was filled again with some amazing speciality teas that we had sourced from some great suppliers.

Below you will find all the teas offered during the month as well as each tea brewer.

Black Teas

Organic Caramel Tea

A rich and full-bodied Assam tea with flavoursome China Black tea blended with chunks of caramel.

The Caramel dissolves to add a layer of gentle sweetness and adds a decadent treat to your cup of tea. Can be enjoyed just as you would with any black tea, with or without adding milk.

Flavour Notes: The strength and richness of a strong breakfast tea with added sweetness from the caramel chunks that melt into your cup.

Ever-So-English Breakfast

These delicate Ceylon tea leaves are lovingly hand-picked and directly traded from traditional, ethical tea plantations in Sri Lanka.

Flavour Notes: Organic black tea from the heart of Ceylon; delicate, floral and refreshing.

Darjeeling Muscatel

This tea is from the Teesta Valley tea estate that grows on slopes as high as 6500 ft.

The second flush Darjeeling tea, popularly known as Summer tea is a tea that is harvested in the summer months of May and June.

Flavour Notes: The leaf of this tea is coppery brown with silver tips, producing a bolder liquor and has a stronger characteristic taste of musky muscatel grapes.

Sencha Green Tea with Elderflower & Raspberry

One of our favourite teas – a delicious light, elegant selection of 4 green teas enhanced with elderflower and the sharper contrast of raspberry as a perfect compliment. This tea has a great range of health benefits.

Flavour Notes: A delicate combination of green teas with contrasting sharpness of raspberries, imparted with warm floral notes of elderflower.

Jasmine’s Green Glory

These delicate gunpowder green tea leaves are lovingly hand-picked and directly traded from a single estate, ethical tea plantation in Sri Lanka.

Pineapple Green with Matcha

A delicious light and fruity green tea with pineapple and the goodness of matcha sprinkled all over.

Flavour Notes: The flavours are harmonious, in balance. It’s a good blend of flavours.

Pu-Erh Tea with Lemon & Vanilla

Pu Erh Tea is famed for its properties to aid weight loss because of its ability to help us burn fat and shed pounds. The best time to drink a cup of Pu-erh tea for weight loss goals is one hour after a meal.

Flavour Notes:Deliciously mellow and deep earthy flavour but we’ve enlivened it with zesty lemon and smooth vanilla.

Whiter Than White

These delicate white Ceylon tea leaves are lovingly hand-picked and directly traded from a single estate, ethical tea plantation in Sri Lanka.

Flavour Notes: Delicate, divine and good for you too: the sweetness and light of all blends. Plucked while still cocooned in their soft white hair, these little leaves promise an exquisite taste.

Tie Guan Yin

Tie Guan Yin also known as ‘Tie Kuan Yin’ translates into ‘Iron Goddess of Mercy’. It is the most famous of all Chinese Oolongs.

This superior grade tea comes from the Fujian province in China. Jade green in colour, the leaves are hand rolled into uneven balls which unfurl into beautiful whole leaves when steeped.

Flavour Notes: The amber liquor produces an enchanting orchid-like aroma and leaves a sweet after taste.

Hibiscus with Rosehip, Apple & Strawberry

Rooibos Indian Chai

Our organic rooibos comes from South Africa and is enlivened with a chai recipe created by our friends in Sri Lanka.

Flavour Notes: Whole pieces of organic cinnamon, ginger, cloves, nutmeg, cardamom and black pepper, are blended before being carefully combined with the rooibos to create a warm and spicy flavour with hints of nuttiness on the finish.

Origin: The Rooibos comes from South Africa and the spices are from Sri Lanka.

Linden Flowers

When brewed, the blossoms yield a pale liquid with a gorgeous floral and herbal aroma and a slightly sweet taste reminiscent of walking through the garden on a mid summers afternoon.

Flavour Notes: A traditional European folk medicinal herb that is said to treat anything from a cold to anxiety to digestion.
